Ahri 2XKO Guide: Mastering Movement & Combos for Beginners

Welcome to our starter guide for Ahri in 2XKO (the game formerly known as Project L)! Ahri is a highly mobile character who excels at controlling the pace of a match. This guide will break down her complex movement options and provide a core combo to get you started.

Mastering Ahri’s movement is the first step to unlocking her full potential. Take full advantage of her unique tools to compensate for her shorter-range normal attacks and keep your opponent guessing!

Understanding Ahri’s Unparalleled Mobility

Ahri’s greatest strength is her ability to reposition quickly, applying pressure and baiting reactions from the opponent. Her mobility shines in the air, but she also has powerful grounded options centered around her signature Spirit Rush.

Aerial Movement: Dominating the Skies

The core of Ahri’s unique mobility is found in the air. After a single jump, she has access to a maximum of four distinct air movements, giving her incredible flexibility. These are performed by using the following abilities:

However, there are important rules that govern how these moves can be used.

Rules of Air Movement

Strategic Applications

Ahri’s aerial movement is perfect for setting up cross-ups and complex aerial mix-ups. You should constantly be moving through the air, looking for opportunities to approach.

Furthermore, you can use this mobility defensively. Bait your opponent into whiffing an attack by dashing forward, then quickly using Spirit Rush to move backward or downward while calling an assist for cover. Similarly, using an aerial Foxfire Blast can halt your momentum, causing enemy anti-air attacks to miss and leaving them wide open for a punish.

Grounded Movement: Smart and Strategic Repositioning

While more limited than her aerial options, Ahri’s grounded movement is still potent. Her key tool on the ground is Spirit Rush.

Ahri can perform up to two consecutive Spirit Rushes on the ground. These serve as long-range dashes that can quickly reposition her across the screen or launch her into the air to start aerial pressure.

Strategic Applications

Use Ahri’s grounded Spirit Rushes to correct your spacing. A backward Spirit Rush can create a safe distance from dangerous assists like Braum or Blitzcrank.

Offensively, a grounded Spirit Rush can launch Ahri into the air while an assist covers her ascent. This immediately puts her in an advantageous aerial position to pressure the opponent. If a grounded combo pushes the opponent too far away, you can use Spirit Rush to reposition into the air where your mobility is stronger, using an assist to stay safe or set up a mix-up.

Warning: Spirit Rush is extremely unsafe if blocked. Unless it is part of a guaranteed combo, reserve Spirit Rush for repositioning away from the opponent or into the air.

Core Combo Piece for Beginners

This is a fundamental combo to practice that incorporates Ahri’s key abilities. It demonstrates how to link her specials and transition from grounded to aerial attacks.

(Note: keeps the opponent on the same side, while will swap sides.)
