Blitzcrank – The Great Steam Golem

Command Grabs: Blitzcrank has a grab for nearly every situation — both ground and air command grabs that start offense and apply pressure. Their Ultimate is fully invincible on startup and becomes inescapable after the flash, instilling fear in any opponent caught off guard.

Straightforward Gameplan: Blitzcrank thrives in close-range combat, forcing opponents to guess between strikes or throws. Once they get in, they can create a looping offense that’s difficult to escape. When enhanced by Steam, these moves deal more damage and gain armor, further limiting the opponent’s defensive options.

Long-Range Specials: Blitzcrank’s neutral game features long-reaching special moves. Rocket Punch () destroys projectiles and can be canceled into Rocket Grab () to set up mixups or combos.

Exceptional Team Support: Blitzcrank’s assists are among the best in the game for pressure. Both assists pull opponents directly toward the team on hit or block. Air Purifier ( + ) can also drag opponents back for combo extensions or create new mixup opportunities for their partner.

Slow Movement: Blitzcrank lacks unique mobility tools outside of Wrecking Ball (j.), which is unsafe on block. This makes them vulnerable to zoning from characters like Jinx or Teemo.

Steam Management: Blitzcrank’s strongest tools and command grabs depend on Steam, which must be manually charged using Steam Charge ([]) or other special moves — requiring mindful resource management.

Short-Ranged Normals: While Blitzcrank’s attacks hit hard, their normal attacks have limited reach, making spacing and combo routing more demanding — often resulting in lower damage at longer ranges.
